Welcome to Speechstart! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Speechstart mobile application (“App”) provided by GPOY Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the App.

1. Introduction

Speechstart is an app designed to assist speech therapists, including speech therapy students, in their work. The App is available on iOS and Android platforms and can be downloaded from the respective app stores.

2. User Accounts

To use the App, you must create an account by providing the following information:

• Email address
• Password
• First name and last name
• Job title
• Optional: Phone number (with an option to receive promotional messages, which is off by default)
• Optional: Company name

By creating an account, you affirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the App as a speech therapist or related professional.

3. Use of the App

The App provides features to:

• Create student profiles (nickname, year, and month of birth; no sensitive student data is collected).
• Access free webinars, give feedback, and request new content or features.
• Receive support emails about App features and account verification.

We encourage speech therapists to create their own accounts but do not restrict account sharing. However, for optimal use, each professional should maintain their own account.

4. Data Collection and Retention

Data Collected from Therapists:

• Account information: Email, password, name, job title, optional phone number, and optional company name.
• Analytics data: Used to monitor app performance, identify issues, and improve functionality.

Student Data:

• Only the student’s nickname, year, and month of birth are collected. No other personal data is required or stored.

Data Retention Policy:

We retain user data indefinitely unless a deletion request is made. To request the deletion of your account and associated data, please contact us at [email protected].

5. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability

Speechstart is provided “as-is” and “as available.” While we strive to keep the App functioning smoothly and reliably, occasional bugs, errors, or interruptions may occur. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:

• We do not guarantee the App will be error-free or uninterrupted.
• The App is provided free of charge, and its functionality may be updated or changed without prior notice.
• We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speechstart and its team shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to lost data, interruptions, or technical issues.

6. Intellectual Property

All content within the App, including text, images, and features, is owned by GPOY Ltd and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Users are permitted to share App-generated content (e.g., on social media) without restrictions.

7. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. In the event of significant changes, we will notify you via email and an in-app notification. Continued use of the App after changes have been made constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the App shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of U.S. courts.
